How The Baidu Account Setup Process Works

Account setup can be as fast as two business days but usually takes about two weeks due to the time it takes clients to gather documents.

We can provide account setup as a standalone service or in coordination with the marketing services we provide for you.

The process works as follows:

  1. You contact us to let us know the business name, type and URL (if available).
  2. If your business is not eligible, we’ll let you know immediately. Otherwise, we’ll provide free consultation. This stage is not necessary for setup but is valuable for your marketing strategy and should only take 30–50 minutes of your time.
  3. Then we’ll send a proposal and request specific documentation.
  4. If/when you are ready, you can accept the proposal and send payment and documents.
  5. We will process the paperwork, including translating the certificate of incorporation.
  6. During this time, which may take a week, it’s a good time to update your website, landing page, or conversion process, if required. We also offer relevant services to help. Plus, if we are providing account management services, we will coordinate with you to plan the entire account structure and analytics configuration.
  7. When the account is activated, we will send you the full login information for your Baidu account. If we are managing the ads, we will launch ads when you approve.

Baidu Account Setup FAQ

For the business to be promoted, we require a scan of the certificate of incorporation (business license) and bank flow document. In some industries, we may also require additional certifications. Note: We require the original, untranslated version issued by your local government.

In cases where you have both a home business and a business in China, we require documentation for the home business.

Legally, Baidu owns the account and can choose to remove service if they want to.

You will have full access to your account, whether you work with us in the future or not.

A Baidu Master Account is an account that works in your website’s backend, which enables you to manage and log into multiple accounts in one place.

It allows you to log in to your accounts with a single password and access all your sub-accounts via the dashboard without the hassle of logging into each account individually. From the dashboard, you can see the costs, performance, and account balances of each account.

To be eligible, you need a minimum of 10 sub-accounts.

However, for our long-term clients who don’t meet the requirement, we will request for special approval on their behalf.
